Youth Opportunities FundSouth Tyneside Youth Service manages a project called Youth Opportunity Fund, the project gives funding to groups of young people aged 13-19 for places to go things to do, for example trips, activities, and equipment.  Decisions are made by a group of young people known as the panel.

We are currently looking to recruit a new group of young people to join the Youth Opportunity Fund Panel. We are looking for 13-19 year olds to join a group of young people who want to make decisions on how funding is spent across the borough.

Youth Opportunity Fund/Youth Capital Fund will have over £250,000 to allocate the next financial year, starting April 2009. If you have a young person who you think would like to join, or if you would like me to come out and give the young people more information/have a chat, please don't hesitate to get in touch and I will come out and meet with the young people.

The new application forms and guidance notes are due to be released the middle of March 2009.
